RJC Minyan Reopening Information

Go directly to the minyan registration form.

We are happy to report once again, that our outdoor Minyanim have been a great success. Thank you to all who have attended with diligent observance of the social distance guidelines, as well as our Gabbaim and volunteers for helping to run the Minyanim smoothly.

Please register below for upcoming Shabbat minyanim on June 26-27. New registration is required for all participants, even those who participated last week. These minyanim will take place in several locations throughout Riverdale. Please note, Minyanim held away from shul will not include Kriyat HaTorah. Thank you to our hosts for making their yards available. If the minyan you wish to attend is already at capacity, please join the waitlist and we will do our best to accommodate. Registration for weekday minyanim next week will follow in an e-mail on Friday.
Please note the following instructions:

  • For the health and safety of our members, we strongly encourage those over 65 or with underlying medical conditions to consult with their doctor before registering.
  • Women are welcome to register and participate in these minyanim
  • All participants are required to wear a mask and remain at least 6 feet apart at all times.
  • Minyanim will not provide seating. Attendees should expect to stand for the entire minyan.
  • Attendees will not enter the host’s home, including using the restroom.
  • Minyanim will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
  • Siddurim must be brought from home.
  • Attendees should arrive no earlier than five minutes prior to minyan and leave immediately following davening.
  • If you become ill and/or test positive after attending a minyan, you must notify the Minyan Administrator immediately.
  • Absolutely no unsanctioned Minyanim are allowed at this time.
  • Anyone who is not registered in advance of Shabbat, may not attend our minyanim, including extended family members.

All guidelines implemented at this time are subject to change as per the Governor’s orders and the compliance of our members. Please understand that we will do our best to accommodate as many members as possible, based on the number of private locations made available to us. We thank you for your patience and flexibility during this process. There is certainly no obligation to daven with a minyan during this trying time. For those who are not able to participate for whatever reason, we hope to have a Zoom option to join one of these minyanim virtually on weekdays. It is our hope that restarting these small minyanim will be a source of inspiration for those who participate and a symbol of hope as we move towards a healthier time.

Please complete the for, below to register for Shabbat minyanim. Thank you for helping us thrive during this challenging time!
